Questions about the Pegasus

Hi Guys..My wife contacted the insurance company re changing insurance from our Arizona to the Pegasus..the chap asked what kind of alarm was on the van ie tilt or one that went off if the steadies were raised? I dont have a clue...on that subject how do you put the alarm on and off ? I didnt see a keypad.

On a bum note is the cassette toilet on wheels and have a handle for trailling behind you?

You can see we paid a lot of attention to the van...lol

Hi Scott,

To the best of my knowledge the alarm system on the Pegasus is the same as the one fitted to 06 Senator.

It is the Tracker monitor system plus a tracker alarm. These are two separate systems although activated by the same key fob. Think of the name tracker alarm being only a maker's name, it might help understand what I'm trying to say. The alarm is only a p.i.r internal alarm, it does not qualify for a tilt or steady discount for insurance purposes.

The Tracker Monitoring system and the internal alarm are both armed and disarmed at the same time by a key fob button. You can not have one without the other.

Personally I would have preferred the alarm not to have been fitted as standard then if I had wanted one I could have purchased one of the many models available with tilt facility. In the initial 06 models the pir alarm was an optional extra only the monitoring system was standard

The system as fitted to Bailey caravans is also not user friendly for pet owners - if you leave a dog in the caravan you couldn't set the alarm and therefore couldn't set the Tracker monitor.

Good idea John G, alas we no longer have dogs so it's not a problem for us. When I first saw the alarm I did think that perhaps a small strip of tape across the p.i.r. might also do.
