I can promise you will have a fantastic time RVing in NZ.
We went for 1 month in Nov 05 and just did not want to leave!
We hired a Maui 2 berth but were very lucky to get a free upgrade to a 4 berth.
There are loads of places to put up, Top10 sites being the most popular.

Can't comment on the other companies but talking to people we net they all seem good.
NZ is very geared up for this type of holiday.
We are currently planning our next trip for Nov this year but are staying 6 weeks. Then of to OZ to see the kids for Xmas followed by a month in an RV there. I just know we will be depressed when we have to return home!!
Only one bad experience and that was leaving NZ!!
