Hello Doug,

When I started caravanning 5 years ago, our first real trip was to join the Practical Caravan Rally to Burgundy, and we found it most useful. There were a lot of experience caravanner's and we gained some great information from them, along with the security of sharing with others, for our first experience. We have subsequently been on another three European rallies, organised by Select Sites, for the PC magazine. For whatever reason the magazine decided to not run one this year, and to say that we were disappointed is an understatement, as we had made some really good friends on the previous rallies.
As a result we decided to investigate running one ourselves, and as Sprocket has mentioned I am running a rally to Germany in September, organised by Select Sites. Sprocket has given you a link direct to our Rally, on the European Touring Section, if you have any interest please either telephone me, or Select Sites who will be able to send you all the details of the rally.
What I can tell you is that it represents great value and has 4 fully organised tours, including on some a quality meal, whilst leaving you plenty of time to do your own thing. The area of the Black Forest offers the Konus Card, this give you free public transport on buses or trains throughout the whole region, excluding the Super Fast trains.
Hope this has wetted your appetite to join us.

Best regards,
George
