Charging your 12 battery can be a pain, esspecially if you're contantly on the move, i've found a small generating unit, that has a 12v out put, I bought it on-line, from www.geniusgenerators.co.uk, ok, fair enough it wasn't cheap, but it works like a dream, and it starts first thing in the morning, no hassle!, it's called the Honda EU10i, its my new best friend!!

I have seen this question on Forum before and i keep wondering why the problem of charging a battery whether caravan or car unless the caravan is in a store for some time. Fortunatly ours is at home and is kept on charge but a friend of ours has kept theirs on site and he tells me as soon as he connects up to the mains everything is normal.

This still pokes out about 50db noise which is still unacceptable if on a non EHU site.

I have of these in the shed which I bought for home backup when our mains supply fails to keep the central heating boiler going.

Would not dream of using it on site as I firmly believe they are an invasion of peoples privacy & pleasure.

This is why I went for the new (and much more expensive) option of Smart Fuel Cell which allows me mains free when I need to without disturbing my caravaning & camping neighbours.

If it runs on petrol I hope you never park near to me on a site!

Ugh!
Thank you salad dodger! I think other people need to read exactly what i have writen in the first place, I never once mensioned using this generator on a site, and did further mension that i was constantly on the move, which would indicate that i am not always using sites, I love the great outdoors and love nothing more than finding a quiet spot away from everyone and parking up for the night. So please read and understand a topic before commenting on it, there's no need to jump on the preverbial bandwagon. And simply insiuate that I would want to disturb peoples rest period.
