The only revolting things are the plans and the governement again planning to rip off motorists and tax payers.

We are the goverment, Tony Blair or Gordon Brown don't pocket the taxes we pay. Tax is redistrubution of wealth from the haves to the have nots. We may not agree with the way they spend our money or collect it, but we have choices at Elections.

Petitions don't really mean anything, but Votes do. So contact your local MP and tell them you won't vote for them if Road Pricing is in the next manifesto. It's the only way to get change.

www.writetothem.com will send an e-mail on your behalf to your Local MP

I did sign the sign the petition but I don't think it is direct enough for the people we elected.

You make very valid points Frank. My wife emailed our MP via email from the write to them web site on the matter of tagging.

The article below has been emailed to me 3 times this morning in response to the petition emails I sent out.

I think its from the Daily Mail.

Worth readingg and then visit

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/if you have not already done so and then

www.writetothem.com

as frank wisely advises.

I have a great deal of respect for you Frank and agree with much that you write but to say tha Blair and Brown (and all the rest of them) don't pocket our cash is a little naive.

Where did the billions come from to fill the MPs pension black hole (the MPs of course democratically voted this through themselves of course)? Where does the money come from to pay the cirac

Tax seems to do well at funding proposed 60% plus pay increases, luxury life style pensions that are inflation proof, luxury travel for MP's and their entourages and a nice line in jet travel helicopters or the company car!

Apart from jobs for the boys and they way government funds go to companies that then find directorships for MP's down on their luck at election time.

Commuters get hammered with price increases etc whilst the taxes fund second homes and first class travel to and from

Westminster f those in Governement.

It seems that MP's are good at redistributing wealth in their own direction ;-)

their way ;-)

Believe it or not, our local MP can often be seen shopping in Sainsbury's and waiting at the bus stop on his journey home.

He was a cabinet minister until six months ago, too.

Poor chap must have done something seriously wrong somewhere.

Didn't we sometimes used to talk about caravans? Have we all got cabin fever this winter?

TB and GB use the tube when it suits them. Even Ken uses the tube, though he always seems to have a seat ahen he's being filmed doing it.

Fact is if all the above is allowed to sneak through then you will have to be very wealthy indeed to be able to use your vehicle for leisure purposes after all the money you have spent using it for necessities like going to work, shopping, taking the rubbish to the tip to avoid a fine etc etc.

As you need to tow the caravan with some sort of vehicle that will be subject to the above charges this really is on topic.
