My wife and I picked up our first Caravan (a Sterling Europa 500) on Saturday and are looking forward to many a holiday and weekend away with our young children and Alfie the dog.

I have already started a few threads since deciding to make the purchase so feel aquianted already with some of the forums regulars.

Cannot wait until our first trip but sadly the british weather looks set to stall us for a few more weeks.

stephen, as long as the roads are drivable and not like the weeks of christmas time, then go for it. the caravan is geard to accomodate you in all weather conditions and modern day heating is superb. we only bought our first one at end of last year and i couldnt waut for the spring weather, so after reading in here about folks being in theirs all year round we have had two weekends away, sub zero temperatures, but snug and cozy inside, brill, go for it and enjoy.

Hello Stephen and co. I wish you a very happy future with your new caravan. As long as it is not pouring with rain you will enjoy your first trip.It is so nice to come back from a good walk and get all comfy in the van.Mind you.I quite like to hear the rain on the roof when tucked up in bed as long as it stops when its time to go out!!!I just want it all don't I?????
