Hi. Sorry, can’t help, but if you are on Facebook there is an Elddis owners group who may know.

The recall was issued about 5 years ago for the front skylight window on many Elddis caravans. I thin k I still have my letter.

The other issue was the moulding around the rear skylight cracking. It was a hairline crack and in many cases dead straight as if it should be there. This allowed water into the caravan, but I don't think a recall was issued, but the work was done under warranty. See picture.

Another reason for going back to the manufacturer is they should have recorded if the recall has already been carried out on a van provided you can give its VIN number.

I would like to take this opportunity to advise that the recall would have been done automatically when the caravan was serviced by an Elddis dealership, but not if it was done by an AWS technician.

In addition, if the caravan owner never advised the Elddis dealership of a change of address then they would not have received the recall notice. Of course there is no obligation to notify anyone of change of address of a caravan owner.

However at an annual service, that is if the owner had the caravan serviced annually even an AWS technician should have advised about a recall even though they were not authorised to do the recall.

Possibly a phone call to the dealer would get you the answer.
The second hand selling dealer may not have been the service agent that carried out the work and thus may not know the answer. The Manufacturer should have the record of the work carried out against the caravan's Vin number.

There would only be a record if the annual service was done by an approved workshop. Just to add the recall notice was issued in 2018 so if the caravan was purchased second hand it may not have come to light.

Ours is a 2018 and definitely no recall issued last October and not heard of any recall for 2018 caravans on the Elddis groups that I belong to and neither on any caravan forum?

A bit of a mystery so as said, best to contact manufacturer. An update would be nice.

I didn’t know it was a second hand caravan?

Product Recalls are notoriously difficult to enact . The safety critical aspect will determine the length the recaller will go to.
A caravan window or non safety matter will attract hardly any attention. Bailey were forced to do a bit more a few years ago when their wheels were falling off.
You could always ask the NCC for their thoughts🤪🤪. You would think they might just be interested in recalls 🤔But once you know exactly what they are I’d say don‘t hold your breath😥
