Recently purchased a 2019 Swift Challenger 560 ... Thinking of getting one of those direct feed water supply kits. My fear is having a water issue when out and about due to the tap water pressure. Has any one had any issues with direct water feed ?

Hi GAS
There's an existing thread running at the moment which explores the pros and cons of direct feed water systems

Ask the dealer to supply you with a direct feed connection. Maybe if something by some remote chance goes go wrong, they cannot blame you.
We have been using direct feed for the last 12 years with no issue as they came standard with the caravan. Prior to that we bought one from Whale for our Lexon 640 which we only used occasionally with no issues.
Makes life a whole lot simpler. Just don't turn on the tap full blast. Let it trickle feed the onboard tank. If no onboard tank, then perhaps float system is better as the pump will give you the internal pressure needed for showering otherwise trying to get correct pressure for showering can be a bit fiddlesome and daunting.

We have the Truma Waterline - the only issue we've had with it is that the pressure reducer reduces the pressure so much it's lower/slower than just using the external submersible pump.

Now I just use the Water Hog and submersible pump as normal but with the hose connected to the water tap to top up the barrel once/day.

One advantage of having an onboard pump.

You can get an Aquaroll fitting that allows you to run the mains into the Aquaroll and it simply tops up the Aquaroll. It then it uses the caravan pump to put the water into the caravan at a lower pressure as needed. This saves any potential problem with the mains tap pressure. Always seems a better solution to me.
