Can anyone tell me if the Red Lion at Eaton, near Tarporley, Cheshire has closed.

When phoned the recorded message is `this number does not receive incoming calls` so I suspect the pub has closed.
 
Yes Woody thats the number I have been phoning. Its the number listed on all the site reviews.

I have gone into the BT phone directory on the web but the Red Lion comes up as not listed.
 
I found another number which I suspect may be a central number for the overall company that owns it. Worth a try even if it is premium rate.

Thanks Woody for trying but I have previously been into the pubs home page which gives the only number I already have,01829 732263.

The other number asks you to go into the Beer in the Evening web site which lists pubs recommended by people, which, by the way, does not include the Red Lion.

I think the only way to get a definitive answer will be to hear from someone who lives locally.
