I have just purchased a Swift Coronette van for £700, and at present in the middle of repairs with regards to damp issues. I have read many articles about papering the interior after restoration process, and would like to advise any other van restorer`s that after spending some 20 years in the decorating industry, I would recommend the use of Muraspec Wallcoverings.

Although these coverings are for the professional decorator, these can still be used by the D.I.Y restorer, after reading the technical data. Also they come in several widths, patterns and shades, they also supply coverings with a marine rating. This would be very useful due to caravans being stored on winter months, and with their robust washable surfaces, would make the ideal solution to decorative wallboards. These coverings range from around £8.50 per metre upwards, and although not cheap regards to wall paper, are still cheaper compapered to decoraive wall panels.

good point but what about the weight a roll of vinyl paper weighs bu**er all

colin
Yes Colin

This is an issue with refurbing caravans, the old weight issue. But as I have worked with this material over several years, I would say that this would not make add any major additional weight. But Colin? if you are not sure, keep to your roll of vinyl paper that weighs? did you say bu**er all. Hmmmmm???
