I have lost the remote control unit for my Reich mover, it is fitted on a single axle caravan and the mover has the reference number ART-No 527-0521.

The remote control is grey coloured.

Does any one have a spare unit which they would like to sell.

Thanks

Dave

what do you think of your reich mover ? i was asked by my dealer to leave my power wheel mover on the van i part exchanged and he would fit a new one to our new van which we accepted. he told us he would fit a rteich mover which in his opinion wa sthe best available ! well i can totally disagree, after two years of ownership the reich is probably the worst bit of equipment ive ever owned, its far too low to the ground and catches easily on lupms and bumps damaging the flimsy plastic cover, its too slow, and wost of all it really struggles with our coachman vip 530/4 even on a modest slope. our previous powerwheels one fitted to a coachman laser and the other fitted to a coachman 520/4 pastiche where absolutely fine and never faultered or struggled to move the van.

and another thing which im sure is not just relevant to me is if i am using the reich mover to get the van on or off the drive nobody including all my neighbours within 50 feet can get in to theire cars ! the movers remote blockes all the signals for opening central locking systems on vehicles, as soon as i let my reich remote time out and switch off the neighbours can open theire cars again.

I had a lot of trouble with mine initially due to faulty construction, once fixed it has been fine since. I do agree that the mover is fitted low down and does have a tendancy to catch on raised objects. Not had any problems/comments re car remote controls.

I have had a Reich fitted now for 5 years and it has given me no trouble. It is fitted to the front of the wheels but I have not had any problem with speed ramps, or ferry loading ramps.

Where it did prove its worth was when the car lost traction in a wet field after the grass had been mown and left on the surface. I unhitched the van and unloaded the nosewheel by poloitely asking 'Navigator' to move slowly towards the back of the van. Then I placed my plastic grip tracks under each van wheel and slowly drove the van onto level ground where the 4x4 took over the tow. Bit embarassing but even 4x4 cannot always get you out. What made it irritating was that I had telephoned the farmer to ask if his CL was still okay following the heavy rain and he told me that it was. When I brought the subject up with him he said 'the tractor had no problems' with a big grin. Anyway it enabled me to perfect a manouevre that I had long thought about.
