Hi,

We have a Reich mover, model 527-0521 2006,single axle that we are having problems with, it moves Left to Right but not foward and back. The red light is not on the box showing a fault, we have tried using the lead from the remote to the box,it still does not work. Has anyone any ideas as to what the problem is.

Unfortunately i would suspect a fault in the control electronics, have a look inside for any obviuos fault. I don't recall any relays inside, but if there is try swopping some over.

I have a 2004 version, so am assuming the units are similar.

From what you have said, both motors work.

Using the hard wired control eliminates a wireless fault, but not the hand set, i would suggest borrowing another hand set, but it will probably require setting up to use?

Is the battery holding its volts under load?

When you say it moves left to right just the left motor is turning,I would pull the leads (spade Connectors) of the motor and put a volt meter on them see if the fault is at the motor or controls. If no power as Ray says try another remote ,also make sure the connections inside the control box are secure .

Hi Ray,

thanks for the reply, Yes both motors work but not in forward or reverse, only left or right. I have checked all connections and battery volts are 13.6. There are relays but they are soldered to the circuit board.

When you operate left or right, do you see a separate relay pull in?

Assuming you do, i would expect to see a relay pull in for forwards and backwards, again assuming relays are there.

If a relay does pull in, then the fault may be with the pcb.

Otherwise i would suspect the handset, my handset has those horrible "short travel" buttons, Which are now starting to act up.

Hi Ray

You can hear the relays clicking when i go Left or Right, but no sounds for forward and reverse. It would seem unlikely that both buttons would pack up at the same time.
