although I can't help observing that the way Mike refers to the year 1997 is somewhat akin to how most folks refer to the stone age!

For a lot of caravanners, 1997 is pretty recent ( to me its like last week!) and many of us still regularly use caravans built well before 1997...

I guess that for some people 18 years ago ( or so) is a lifetime..... but for others .....well it seems like it's practically no time at all!
