Iestyn,

Expensive but worth every penny!

Even though there's only 2 of us we have the "grand" the cooker certaintly does what it says on the can!

As for saving gas, YES it does, plus you're paying for electricity whether you use it or not, & the Remoska is such a misely user of electricity, you'd be hard pushed to trip the EHU using this.

Also it can be used to cook everything from a low fat "fry up brekkie to a full blown roast"!

Another plus is that its a doddle to clean the non stick pan!

We got one for a tenner. It was from a friend's dad who had only used it a few times. We've not taken it away in the caravan yet but the missus has used it at home a few times so far and yes, it's as GeorgeB says, it's great and uses SO little electric yet cooks a treat.

I was about to order a Remoska Cooker when I saw this customer review on the Lakeland website :-

" Using when caravaning

by Elsie McCracken

BE WARNED. I found that the cooker was very good at home but the trip switches at caravan sites tripped and I was unable to use it. As this was why I bought it I am very disappointed.

Inappropriate? - Report this

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'm sorry that on this occasion the product wasn't as expected. We'll be in touch shortly. "

I have used a Remoska at home and in the van. As most of the others say, it is excellent, and very economical on the electric. The fact that Elsie tripped the electric is niether hear nor there - she probably had a lot of other appliances on at the same time. 400watts is only just over half the power rating of the electric hob supplied with most Swift Group vans, and, on it's own, get's nowhere near the limit on even a 10amp set up.

YES,

very good bit of kit, the top is quite heavy [for you weight obsessed types!] but the pan and stand are light. We have the smaller one , it lives in the oven when not in use and its really handy , cooks great food. better than the slightly warm cuboard that they call an oven in our caravan!

Just one tiny thing, finding somewhere to put the red hot top whilst you stir / add to the pan can be tricky in a caravan.
