Our originals are in the loft. The current ones we use were made up 3 years ago and are badly stained. They are 80% wool 20% man made fibre.
A trip to Allied Carpets for an offcut proved most successful. 1.4m x4m Was £159 reduced to £56. At the till I nearly fell over when they charged me £29.00! A real bargain

The new carpet is 100% polypropylene, nice shaggyish pile and single colour. The sales lady told me it is far more resistant than wool ones and responds well to cleaning. Just what I need with all the dog paws.

Good to know bargains are still out there.

The original should allow an edit.
Look at the top of the posting box and you should see two boxes, one marked View, one marked Edit.
Click on Edit scroll down and your post should miraculously appear ready to change what you want to.

No. The last set I made are a very good fit and none of the edges are in a direct wear area. I think the cost of doing edging is not cost effective, I can't believe I only paid £29.00! If they get tatty at the end of the season I'll replace them with more bargains I hope.
The originals remain in the loft so when we come to sell, px, the caravan will still look like new, as will the seats which we recovered ourselves plus throw overs. Over the top perhaps but two Springers can get messy never mind the OH.

.
I should say Wendy the carpet I bought is not rubber backed but conventional and does not seem to fray.
Anyway at £29.00 what more could I want ?

With Springers nothing is ever OTT, DD - ours has just been out for his walk and he's absolutely filthy! We've done as you have with our 'van - everything is covered!
