I don't understand why a post relating on an advert was removed by the righteous moderator when the post was not offensive in the least but was a complaint about an unsuitable advert on a family forum. Why is it this particualr moderator always seems to pick on my posts ever since we had a disagreement awhile back? Strange that the other two posters who managed to read the post before it was deleted, agreed with my post.

I didn't see the post Uvongo (I never see the adverts either) but from what I can see the moderator edited comments made by you which were considered to be provocative or inflammatory and added a note to say as much.
As was pointed out the subject of forum advertising was aired in the
Our Website topic with an explanation of the advert situation by Bob McDowell, the Haymarket Strategic & Planning Director.
There are no 'personal vendettas' Uvongo, we are all adults and moderators try to ensure that the forum runs reasonably smoothly and without major arguments which invariably end up with one side leaving to forum and new members being put off using this forum.
If moderators consider that a comment might cause offence or lead to conflict it's best removed but there is nothing personal in this. I've often had to remove comments which I may personally agree with but it's the only way to avoid strife on the forum.

I didn't say I agreed with the content of your post, nor did Mel. As a matter of fact, I did happen to think that the content of your post was rather provocative and unnecessary. Having said that, I don't like any of the ads being there and would rather they weren't, but I accept that Haymarket has to pay for the website somehow (perhaps they don't sell enough magazines). And I'm aware (now, having had it pointed out to me) that it is possible to download a tool to block the ads - not that I've done it yet, it's all a bit too technical for me.

You just have to laugh at some of the adverts. Boden Clothes for example. An old dog like me wouldn't look right in all that fashion stuff

This particular Moderator cannot even remember any disagreement a while back, whatever it is supposed to be.
As for "picking on your posts",simple really,do not post deliberately provocative posts, or they will be removed.

I think it very funny that when an unsuitable post is removed, the author immediately jumps at the Mods and it is "their" fault.

The forum rules are few and very simple, read them and abide by them,,,its as easy as that.

I am surprised that although they are in English you don't seem to understand them and you interpret them to suit your own purposes once again! My complaint was about the type of ad allowed by PC on the forum which could be upsetting to certain people and it seems for this reason you removed it!

As I have absolutely no interest , vested or otherwise in the adverts run by Haymarket, I fail to see why it is to suit my purpose to delete your deliberately provocative posting.

The only "certain people" who the advert was maybe supposed to have upset strangely did not say anything about them, only yourself.
The rules are set by Haymarket, not me, and that is why each unsatisfactory posting is dealt with in exactly the same way , your postings are treated in the same way as everyone elses.
