Removing mastic sealant advice.

Could anybody advise me on the best way to remove excess mastic from a caravan sidepanel and roof.

I had a small reseal/repair and now have blobs of mastic all over the place. I dont want to go near the join where it has been sealed, this is pretty neat.

I can easily remove the lumps but whats best for removing the residue left without damaging the van paintwork.

if you use a scraper don't use a metal one as this will damage and scratch use plastic one be safe it better than damage .

Hi Mike - I think your best bet is white spirit/turps. It shouldn't have any effect on the paint finish but try somewhere inconspicuous first - John

could you not ask the repairer to clean it up after their repair.
