Removing old tap

I've just bought a new reich mixer tap butcan't remove the old one where the red and blue pipes fit into the water pipes. I've tried screwing and pulling and would welcome any advice.

I think there is a collar around the pipes as they enter the tap, try pushing this collar/ring in before pulling the pipe
