Removing status aerial

How does it come off. I have removed the ywo grub screws and the body is now adrift but I cannot get at the cable, there does not seem to be any slack in the cable. How is the cable fixed. I have also unscrewed the centre sticky-up bit should the disc seperate now? Help!

Martyn, the status is only held by the grub screws. The bas plate needs to be left in place unless you have the blanking plate to replace it(with new mastic seal)

The aerial is probably secured inside the vanjust where it comes through the roof, by a cable clip, which needs to be removed to allow you to pull the cable back up through the hole (having removed the connector first).

Thanks Damian job done. I was expecting a connection at the aerial end to make the job easier but I guess they dont expect you to have to remove it that often
