Now I know there must be a boffin out there who could kindly give me the towing and nose weight for my car.Its A Grand scenic 1.6 authentique 1.6 on a 08 plate.All contributions will be gratefully accepted.

You should be able to find all the information that you need in the handbook or on the VIN plate (at least the maximum permissible towload). Note that all Renault cars have a maximum permissible gross train weight that is less than the sum of the GVW and the max. towload, so you need to watch out for that, too.
