replacing external roof seal

Hello All, I recently had my Bailey ranger 500/5 2004 serviced and the Engineer told me that the seal at the front of the roof is letting water through. He explained that it needs undoing and old sealent removed and then replacing, seems straight forward. Any tips on doing this would be helpfull, many thanks Hollypop.
 
Hi i tried it it was more trouble then it was worth. I took all the advice got tubes of sealent and turps to remove old sealant,all the screws heads were rusted and mastic took ages to remove my advice is leave it to the experts saves money and time in the long run mark.
