I have a 1993 Swift Corvette Diamond. It is in very good condition for its age, and I have no intention of changing it, however I have gradually enhanced it with small improvements over the past 3 years.
My attention this year has turned to the 2 rooflights. They are currently the original MPK style, standard 400x400 cut out, with a sandwich style clamp between outer skin and inner trim. They are opaque plastic, and only open a small amount at each corner, which allows a reasonable amount of air in, however I am attracted to the more modern style, which open from one side, upwards, and are either clear or a modern "crystal"
Does anyone have any words of advice / general comments on this topic ?
I do not like the idea of having to screw into my roof, so would like to avoid any type which would require this - I like the simplicity of the current fitting, which is a clamp holding the top skin to the roof, and then 4 screws tightening the inner trim to the top.
I have seen a few different style, including the new MPK one here
and would be keen to do this soon,as we have our first trip of the year at the May holiday weekend, so not long to wait :woohoo:
