Anyone have any plans or knowledge for fitting a micro wave as is factory fitted in a Pageant Bordeaux. Is it a DIY er job can you purchase the microwave from a Bailey supplier?
Ours sits on top of the unit containing the cutlery draw above the Carver heater. A shelf, with legs that fit either side of the microwave, then gives extra work surface at the same height as the gas rings on top of the oven.
I suggested removing the short cushion at the offside front and sliding the long mattress up to the window thus leaving room for a mirowave next to the unit you used
As they only use the rear bed it seemed a good compromise but met with no approval
They now have the Virginia which has shorter front seats than would have been the case above !!
Thanks everyone for your ideas. I thought as there are or appear to be micros in some of the Baileys I thought I could somehow fit one above the sink using the storage locker with the plug socket already in as they seem to be 'plumbed' in and secured with a strip across the bottom.
I would check with Bailey that the side/locker is strong enough - the later vans with the microwave fitted as standard may have extra strengthening to support the weight (about 12-14kg for a small oven)
