If an ALKO anti snake device is fitted to the caravan is an extra power line required, and if so were would you facilitate the power source from, and would it require to be switched via the cars ignition.

No - the AL-KO ATC takes it's power from the battery charge circuit - which should be a permanent live (not switched by the car ignition)
