Has anyone had problems with delivery from this company? I placed my order at the NEC show and am still waiting for delivery, not very satisfactory and had a pretty poor response from them so far.

We bought a Rhyno last year, phoned and were given a date, which unfortunately they were unable to keep, because of staff sickness, but were given another date only a few days later, which went ahead with no problems. We have had the mover for more than a year now, and are delighted with it. The fitting was carried out quickly and efficiently.

We ordered ours in Feb 08 at the NEC. We were given a date about 4 weeks after the show and ours was fitted and demo'd to me on the morning as arranged. Best bit of equipment we ever purchased for the caravan. I guess you have been unlucky, but stay with them - you will not regret it.

We also ordered a Rhyno at the NEC. Phoned them last week and took them some time to find our order which didn't inspire any confidence. Also claimed that "Sharon" had tried to phone a couple of times. I know that isn't true. However, he said that our Mover was due for despatch this coming Tuesday, so I'll be interested to see if they keep to this date. Ironically, we ordered from them because of good reports about customer service. We also paid cash, so have no credit card protection, so I hope they're not about to become victims of the credit crunch!

My thoughts exactly John, I thought it would be quicker fitting it myself but its now 5 weeks and 4 weeks since they cashed my cheque. Sharon promised to call me back today but didnot and I am now awaiting a call from Simon.Probably will be the same result as my email to them - no answer.Such a shame as we are encouraged to buy British nowadays but it seems that just causes more problems.

Ordered ours at the October show and it was fitted the next week by the guy who took the order. I don't have the details in front of me at the moment but he was a Midlands based independant caravan mechanic working for them and others. No problems at all

Pleased you've got it OK. Needless to say, I've heard nothing from them despite the previous assurance that my mover was to be despatched on Tuesday gone. I've emailed them asking what's going on, but no reply as yet. Still they only cashed my cheque 3 weeks ago, so don't know why I'm complaining!

Don, the mistake you made was by not going to Powrwheel in the first place. This site is crammed full of people more than satisfied with the service they have received. Henry.

Presume you're talking about Rhyno here. Things must have changed since your experience. They gave me false information and have ignored the email I sent 2 days ago. I'd love to have some experience of their product, but they seem reluctant to send me one or tell me when it might arrive.

We have had a Motor Mover from Rhyno in June 2006 it has been wonderful, the Rhyno is the best money spent for Jim and his new Knees! They were reccomended to us by friends who also are Rhyno users. The team were able to put a mover on our hobby where others failed, we have just ordered our new Swift and looking forward to having the new mover installed just after the Easter break. I phoned them after the NEC show and Sharon came straight back with a date and even a time to fit the new Rhyno. We have asked for Andy to fit it again really nice local chap with a wealth of caravan know how, well worth it good old fashioned company with a good team spirit. cant recommend them enough.

Tina & Jim Soon to be a swift !no more hobby's

Well worth the wait, reasonably easy to fit except for a small problem with control unit but quickly sorted by Simon who even emailed me back on a sunday and talked me through set up then sent a new unit next day.

I knew there was a good reason I was buying from them.

Interesting. Mine eventually arrived on Wednesday, tried fitting it the same day but had to give up because I didn't have anything with me to secure the isolation switch. Did your kit have any cable clips for fastening cable to 'van underfloor or anything (bolts, self-tappers?) to secure the switch in place. I didn't get a packing list either, so don't know if they were just missed out. The rest was fairly straightforward, but instructions leave something to be desired for a unit that is advertised as a D-I-Y fit. Hope to finish off fitting it Friday.

mine had lots of cable ties and self tapping screws. Just make sure when it says conecting the drives to the control unit that the left and right unit is looking towards the front of the van that they mean from the tow hitch, not from inside as I did as I was working inside, Doh.That managed to confuse it and me.lol.

Don - mine also had lots of cable ties, but no "P" clips to fasten the cables to the floor between the cross-beam and the hole into the 'van. All the screws supplied were regular wood screws - not a self-tapper in sight. I was reluctant to chance using these screws in the plastic battery box and had to go get some suitable bolts. My RH roller wouldn't revolve when first connected and had to ring Rhyno. Got through eventually and was told to loosen off rear cap of motor and re-tighten when the roller started to move - did this and it worked. So why no "Troubleshooting" section in instructions for obviously common problems? Generally not a good experience.

John
