1. What is TV reception like?

2. How far is the nearest watering hole/is it any good?

3. Any food places recommended?

4. Any that we should stay away from?

You need to keep this site a secret, it is spot on for a base to tour both coast and inland Northumberland.

TV reception is fine through the site booster system.

As for a drink, you are a 10 minute walk from the Powburn garage/shop/butchers and antique centre which did have a pub attached but was closed down last time we went in 2005, it may have reopened by now.

A 15 minute walk to the village itself and you will find a pub which does food as well, not been in but looked good from the outside.

Get you fridge well stocked from the Morrisons/Safeway in Alnwick, stick on some music and stay in the van!!

We are up ther again in May...cant wait...enjoy your stay

Hi David, great site! we were there last june, the pub in the village (15 min walk) does great food.

We agree with everything said, but keep it to yourself!
