Sorry typing error posted topic before I asked question.

I am going to Riverside Caravan Park, Wooler next week. I am travelling form near Glasgow along the M8 and then onto the A1. The caravan site suggest coming through Coldstream on the A697 if travelling from the north.

This looks to be a long route down some country roads, travelling down the A1 the onto the B6438 would appear to be the easier route.

Has anyone been to this site and can tell me which route is the best?

Take the A697. You will find it is a relatively quiet road and quite scenic. The A1 is a long way round and has a lot of trucks.

Turn of the A720 Edinburgh Bypass at the 2nd last Junction marked Jedburgh (A68) and it is straight on down the A68 to Carfraemill, then to Greenlaw, Coldstream and then to Wooler. It will take about 1 hour from the bypass to Wooler. You bypass Wooler town and the site is at the edge just over the bridge.
