I would not be without my old wind slammer aerofoil.

They actually do work and in my case very well. I have used mine on a Renault 25 which was a sleekly designed 5 door hatch but predominately sallon shaped car. The air flow was definately designed to flow down and low to ground at the rear. I adapted a pair of desmo roof bars to fit with the slammer in the narrow gutter of the 25. Without the slammer I could barely get 52 Mph and was constantly in 4th gear. Put the slammer on and you would think I'd changed the car. 60 + Mph no problem and a 5Mpg increase in distance per gallon of liquid gold (petrol).

As time rolled on and we needed an estate car, I opted for a Laguna 2 Ltr valve petrol of 1998 vintage. A totally different shape to the sleek 25. I thought I' see no real improvement using a slammer, but how wrong I was.

Again I got a marked improvement in both performance and aconomy and once again was 5 Mpg better off and now able to get to 70Mph (on the continent)with no worries.

I tow a twenty foot twin axle van and I believe thta some of the air flow travel's down the side of the van from the slammer, thus cosseting the van and providing added stability.

But the most important to anyone is the cost saving. I have saved over
