roof boxes

Colin, I use a roof box all the time when towing carrying the awning in it to reduce the payload in the van. No effect on stability at all and you may find you squeeze a few more mpg out of your vehicle when you tow with it on. The only thing you need to watch is that you stay within the weight you can carry on the roof for your vehicle, this is usually 75 or 100kg depending on what vehicle you have.
