Roof vents on Bailey Ranger 460/4 2007

Hi there

I have a problem with the two small roof vents on my caravan.

Even when closed thay still let air in plus if you park under tree,s as you do the seeds and leave still get in. Plus in bad weather water can get blown under the vent and into the van.

Has any-body else had this problem on Bailey caravans?????

It does not sound to me as tho you have a problem. The vents on all makes of vans are designed to let in air at all times - the movement of fresh air helps to prevent dampness in the van and stop you gassing yourselves etc. It is true you do get a few bits and pieces work their way through the gaps on occasions but we have never had much of a problem as we park our van under cover most of the time and never under a tree.

we have ventilation from the roof vent such that in windy conditions the blackout blind shakes but that is how they are designed for getting fresh air.We have considered using he miniheki for a motorhome which doesnt have ventilation according to more expert people i have spoken to but could then get condensation. To be fair we have never had rain in otherwise it would be a liability esp.this month
