Route from Cherbourg to Saumur

We are taking our 'van over to France for the first time next week, travelling to Cherbourg and then to Saumur. We have checked for the best route but have got two or three differing suggestions. Can anyone help us to find the most direct/sensible route, please?

Ruth, If you log on to "ViaMichelin" or "theaa" websites you can get a full itinary, with estimated times, fuel costs, toll charges etc.

Hi Ruth

Have you had a look at mappy.com it gives really good routes and tells you where the speed cameras etc are! we find it to be excellent.
