This subject may well have been covered so apologies in advance. We are looking to travel to Lake Garda in early September this year. We will be towing a caravan and parents will be in their motorhome. We will probably make one ortwo stops on the way once we get to Calais and hopefully one or two stops on the way back after a week at Lake Garda. We would like the quickest routes as we only really have 10-11 days to holiday. We are thinking of staying at La fontanelle whilst at Lake Garda ( does anyone have any info on this site) and will hopefully visit venice by train whilst based at Lake Garda. Any tips on routes, overnight stops etc would be gratefully received.
Many Thanks

We always go to Garda via Belgium, Germany, Innsbruck and down the Brenner Motorway. It is a very pretty route and the tolls are very reasonable go through France and the tolls are a lot lot more. We are going that way to Innsbruck this year and then to Southern Austria. If you look on my website I have posted our route stop sites enroute may be helpful to you.

"quickest route" that would mean going directly through Switzerland. Whether you take the motorways from Calais across to Strasbourg, and onto Switzerland or if you crossed to Dunkirk towards Luxenbourg before dropping onto the French m/ways then onto Switzerland.
