have just noticed on our online booking confirmation with the CC that there is a restriction to outfits over 28 feet in length at Rowntree Park. Does the term "outfit" mean the combined length of the car and caravan or just the caravan itself ? We've had this booked for over five months and I can't say i've notriced this restriction before, have i boobed ??

Neil, it means the shipping (overall) length of the caravan e.g the outside body length plus the A frame/hitch. Ray
Neil, I've had a bit of a rethink and may have been wrong, sorry if any confusion caused. I'm a bit puzzled as I stayed there with a van with overall length 6.9m and 3.5 m vehicle which exceeds the 28 foot (8.5m) limit.

I guess 'outfit' means a motor home or car/caravan combination etc. If this is so lots of car / caravan combinations would be excluded, guess aphone call to the site is best bet. Ray

Have clarified some of this today with CC direct.

The lady i spoke to agreed that the use of the word "outfit" is misleading as they had already had three confused members asking for clarification by 9.30 this morning. It was explained that the CC use outfit when they mean caravan only and not the combined length of the car and caravan as i first thought. With regard to Rowntree Park it is the caravan length that is of concern not your car as well. She did point out to me the strict adherence to the Noon in and 11.15 out policy. It may only be me that has been confused if that is so then i now understand if anyone else was caught up in this confusion then hopefully it is explained. Hey Ho !!
