Running Lights

I recently serviced all my running lights , wd40 , earth bonding etc, however all the orange plastic light units can now be removed with the slightest touch, is there any tips to make them more secure ie not falling off down the M3!!
 
Sounds like you've been to liberal with the WD40. I suggest you remove and clean the lenses to remove an excess lubricant, (Washing up liquid) and also the retaining strip. Allow them to dry then refit them.
