Saab 9-5 2.0LPT

I have noticed that the Saab 9-5 estate can be picked up nearly new for very good prices, if you go for the 2.0 petrol.

Does anyone have any experince of towing with them?

I have a 5 birth Avondale.

I have a Saab 95 estate which I bought new on a 55 plate. It's a 2.0 litre petrol. Great car - loads of space for packing etc. Can be a bit thirsty though - I have an automatic with sentronic gear shift - average about 22mpg when towing. However very happy overall.

You don't say which Avondale van you have but if it is the Argente 530-5 you will be towing at about 93% but he Dart 510-5 is only 80%, both are within the 1800Kg limit of the car.

It is a 2004 Dart 510/5, so I may well go for the 2.0 petrol as the 1.9 diesel is a few grand more for the same power.
