Safety Brake Cable

I forgot to detach the safety brake cable when I disconnected the caravan from the car and moved the car gently forward. Naturally it distorted as it would if the van was detached from the towbar on the road!

The cable is fine as is the loop on the end, but the spring link connector which goes through the loop was distorted and will have to be renewed. What do I ask for? Anyone have a link to a suitable cheap link?

If you have distorted the link, change the whole cable as you will have weakened the cable to a point where it will not be strong enough to apply the brakes in an emergency.
