same water pump

Hi all, just got my first caravan,and have checked it all over, and the water pump, does not work. Do i have to replace it with the same, or can i replace it with another model. The one thats come off is a carver avon. Please help as i am totaly in the dark as to what to do, for the best.
 
Check first that the impellor is moving freely. If it has not been used it might just need turning by hand to free it up, it should spin freely.

Finally - Someone mentions a Carver AVON pump.

Now like andy, I had a stuck impellor initially, but now my pump has packed in completely. I am looking at the Carver Thames pump and hoses, but am not sure whats what.

My caravan is a Swift Challenger 470SE2 (~1994).

I know that the model of caravan wont help too much, but they all appear to have these Carver water systems that use those nice easy to find filters that slot in.

Any help in the near future is very welcome.
