Has anyone got any comments on the Sandringham CC site. We are visiting in a couple of weeks time. Would like to know things to do in the area, should we take bikes etc.

We was there a couple of weeks go, a lovely site up to the usual Caravan Club standards with very clean amenities and spacious pitches which are mostly all hard standing. Theres beautiful walks through the Sandringham estate which start right from the very site and the wild life is just great for all to see. Yes you can take the bikes because being in the heart of the Sandringham Estate you can leisurely Cycle round quite safely. Hunstanton is just a few miles away if you want the seaside and going the other way you can also visit Kings Lynn, but my recommendation would be Hunstanton way. On the way to Old Hunstanton try to look out for the old Bric-a-Brac shop, you just might find some great bargains, old and new. The nearest Supermarket is just 3 miles away in a village called Dersingham, theres also a good few pubs around. Hope this helps and enjoy your stay.

Yes - take your bikes. Also drive along the A149 towards Hunstanton and explore some of the villages along this road. I also recommend a visit to Holt for some interesting shopping opportunities & Byfords bistro & deli is a must for lunch.

Some of the pitches in the central section of the Sandringham site are slightly sloping so take a levelling ramp.Have a good holiday!

Hiya Larayne, this may be of interest to the males in your family. Have a look at the Muckleborough Collection at Weybourne. It's a military collection, with a good selection of armoured fighting vehicles, ( Tanks & Self Propelled Guns Etc)They do driving demonstrations and you can have a go yourself. I found it fascinating (being an ex army tank transporter driver, I suppose I would) and Joan even said she had enjoyed the visit.

Barney.
