A friend has just bought a 04 santa fe petrol V6. We've just been out playing with his new toy, and I found it OK. Not too sure about the complicated gearbox, and the annoying juxtaposition of the wiper and indicator swirches, but I suppose he'll get used to that.
But I couldn't find any low ratio control. Does it have low range, or is it just a toy 4x4, with only road tranmission?
Other than that, it's quite a nice car.

Couldn't find a button either Martin, even checking the handbook. The h/book refered to selecting "L" for long descents, but the selector only has P,R,N,D, then push left for steptronic. Most odd.
As for the thirst, yes you're probably right, but it is on LPG, and he's had Range Rover and Discos before, and I can't see it being any worse than them!

Could be one of these makes it's own mind up ones then with no low range or locking diff's, someone must have one on here?? Oh well not so bad on LPG, it should be better than a disco or RR as it must be a fair bit lighter even allowing for lpg tank etc..
