Sat Dish in awning ????

Probably another daft question but here goes anyway....has anyone set up their sat. dish in the awning...and does it work ok???????

Hi. I helped a couple set up in france last year and they set up the dish in the awning. they did leave the section infront of the dish open. It worked fine.

Charlie we used our sat dish inside our closed awning in the dordogne last year. It worked fine. No noticable difference in signal strength when the flap was opened.

Charlie, I set my dish up on the table, in the awning at Rowntree Park, York, two weeks ago with no problems and a good reception.

As long as there isn't trees, metal objects ie Caravan or Car in line of sight of the satallite you should be fine.
