O.K

Now as a avid supporter of FTA sat t.v I have decided to hard wire the sat cable into the van via the Batt box as there is enough room to put in a F connector and the cable to come through the mains aparture in the batt box door.

What I am looking for is a beige single plate with std aerial, Sat connection and 12v socket all built into one, trawled the web most of yesterday and visited a couple of caravan shops, but no joy

Can Anybody Help.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Folks,

Problem sorted. Managed to find a beige POL 12v/Std aerial socket which is the one thats in my van a S6 Bailey Pageant Burgendey and purchased it. Then a quick trip to maplins and purchased two in line connecters and various F connectors and F angle connecters. Drilled 10mm hole in plate to one side and fixed in the in line connecter with a slim nut behind and connected screw on F connector with cable then 10mm hole in top of battery box where 240v connects and again inline connector and angled connector to take any strain from any connections. All tested and works great. Picture quality fantastic but I have gone over to CTC 100 sat cable which has made a massive diffirence.

Thanks for the help.

Hope this helps someone else should they need it

Hi Rob we have a Coachman and i was intrested that you got a good picture using a front plate ,i was under the impression that you have to go direct to the digi box as in domestic installations. What i done was run two cables and like you one was through the battery box and another through the Coachman exterior 240/12v flap, both these cables come out quite near the sat box and therefor go direct without connectors into the box. It would be easy for me to copy yours so thanks.
