I have been a contributer on this forum for around 10 months and even though I have caravanned for many, many years I have learnt some valuable lessons and advise from other forum members.

Why is it then that some people, who ask for advise don't quickly respond with a "thank you" to those who answer their query with often complex and technical answers.

I emphasise it is only a minority because most do acknowledge the advise given.

You know who you are! It costs nothing to say Thank You.

Well Beemer. Que Sera Sera ;-)

You just have to realise that helping anyone escape the UK gives you top priority.

No doubt others are so excited about escaping the reality re UK weather, bills, council tax, fuel costs, NHS, education, crime and the news on Iraq and Afghanistan and our stupid politico's obvious dream world take on what is happening here, people just forget to say thank's ;-)

It seems like you have the laptop running on full throttle, did you remember to download Skype and get your friends and family on the net to do the same - www.skype.com . Providing you have a mic and speakers or ear piece you can chat via Skype phone over the broadband FOC or pay for Skype credit for calls to land lines and mobiles :)

Hope the sun is still shining and the SanMiguel is cold ;-)

cris... Yes I have used a Skype over the broadband to keep in touch with the kids (sorry, adult offspring) but have lost connection quite a lot which is frustrating. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately?) most of the family hav'nt even got round to getting a computer yet, so its the old telephone to keep in touch with them.

Actually it is quite cold here today, around 20c and windy. Should warm up a bit by the time we come home at the end of May.

The SanMiguel is cold, the wine is cheap and we found a good Chinese restaurants where we can have a 3 course meal with wine/beer for around a tenner for two, (not sure what we are eating though, but it tasts good!!)

Colinn....thanks!
