When i was using mine found that during windy sessions (Quite often) where the two tipped poles go into the fabric that we used to get squeaky noises where they rubbed against the van , cured it by placing foam between the fabric and the van .Gone for a much larger porch different design no rubbing.

we had the same happen to us in very windy weather. I bought a couple of rubber suckers and cut out a groove so that the horizontal pole sits nicely in it.
