We are going to the NEC on the 20th...( *Advance ticket prices apply up to 23:59 on 17/02/2014 when tickets revert to on the door prices. A £1 transaction fee applies to all advance bookings. ).....It's always in the small print .....we will get there early & join the queue .... Yes it's a bit more on the door but if we don't go for any reason the money is still in my pocket not there bank account ..... ‹(•¿•)› .....

Totally agree with Bertie boy, never been to this show before and certainly won't be going again, just thankful I had a complimentary ticket - certainly would'nt like to think I had paid £11 !!!!!! Plus £7 to park - what a rip-off !!!!!
Touring caravan exhibits on the whole disappointing, not impressed.
Hope NEC will be better.

Went to the Scottish caravan show and agree it was a waste of a day and even got the wife and myself in for £11 was still a waste of money. We always went to the NEC in B,ham because we lived 10 miles away until moving up to Scotland and purchased many caravans from that show. The only problem is now that nearly all the caravans are made by the same manufacturer with slight differenaces.I think the best caravan at the show for quality and price was the Hobby but I dont want to be classed as a traveller!!
Hope everyone has a great year caravanning.

We have complimentary tickets for the NEC show otherwise we would not bother. For us it is a day out instead of a day shopping, going to the hospital or the doctor. LOL!

I think the problem for the show is down to population concentration. In simple terms the population of London is more than all off of Scotland and Glasgow cannot compete with Birmingham or Manchester on the potential visitor numbers either. It does need the organisers to work on getting more firms to the show however or it will probably just fade away.
We went to the show and were a little dissappointed by the absences. Bailey managed just two caravans and Adrias were missing altogether but they have pnly one dealer in Scotland and they are a lomg long way off. Swift Group did dominate the show but they did this last year as well.
We did look at the Hobbys but while the build standard is impressive the decor looks like something out of a tarts boudoir. They glisten and shine like nothing I have seen and were quite offputting to us. At least they turned up though which is more than a lot of their competitors did.
We also saw the Eterniti, looks good but somehow we felt it still needs more work, and the Airstream which is a bit out of our budget.

You have to ask yourself what is it what you want from a show?
Not a lot .Caravan s cost enough as it is.So why add to the price to cover a show?
I accept Scotland is a long way off but surely the Dealers Can show off the wares.
Personally I love the side stalls at shows. . The caravans can e seen at the dealers. Even if it means a weekend away from home

The main reason I want to go to the NEC is to see the Kampa Air Awnings as there as a few different models out now... I need to see if they justify the price being asked & the diffence between the models.... I have a short list of three ....
