Screwing into floor - delamination problem?

We bought a roll of vinyl carpet protector to keep mud off the carpet. It's narrower than the carpet and we found it kept moving around and wrinkling up.

I noticed that in various parts of the caravan the manufacturer has screwed into the floor. I got screws of the same size and screwed the vinyl roll, through the carpet, into the floor (without drilling)at approx. 18" intervals. I'm now worried that I may have set myself up with a delamination problem.

Any comments/advice welcome.

Thanks , G.

So long as the screw holes don't go through the floor and you don't flood the floor when cleaning, you shouldn't have a potential problem.

Thanks Lutz. That's reassuring. G.
