I used them once and vowed never again. Whenever I went to screw into the ground all it did was churn up the stones and provide a really loose fit into the ground. I now use the hard rock pegs in grass and hardstandings with a hammer and you can't beat them.

My advice?....waste of money..

I have a Wormi kit, yes expesive but good, on hard ground they recomend you first drill a 8mm hole with a masonty drill, last year in France on a very dry hard pitch I had to do this, glad I did .after a few days we had very high winds, not a peg mooved, when we came to take it down just reversed the drill and out they all came.

Hi Trevor, Don't waste your money. Bought some off ebay, as Nick said all they do is churn up the ground, absolutley useless for hardstanding. Have tried them on grass and they seem to work ok. To be honest it's just as easy and quick to use hammer and rock pegs.

Hi, I have a set of screwpegs,8 inch, metal ones and they are great.

Have used them on very hard ground in Spain and on hardstandings at Tanner Farm in Kent. No problem. Obviously if the hard standing isn't constructed right it would be a problem.

With screw pegs you do have fewer red nuckles!!!!!! I would reccomend them every time.

Wurmi screwpegs are the best thing since bubble gum if on a grass pitch. For hardstanding use the ones that you can buy from Screwfix. I think it is about

I have used Screwpegs for the past two years without any problems on grass pitches, brick hard pitches in Spain and hard standings as on Caravan Club sites. Sometimes had to switch to "hammer action" on the cordless drill to get them started and once or twice had to give some of them a couple of turns with a socket set to loosen them up before using the drill to extract them. I find them quicker and a lot less effort than the "hammer in" ones.

We use the modified coach screws from screwfix on hardstanding and they are very effective, we found the so called hammer in hardstanding pegs useless on hard pitches.
