Hi,

I am about to go on a seasonal pitch for seven months then take my van to spain for the winter but I seem to be running into some problems with insurance, alot of people won't insure season pitch touring caravans, or they will but only if they are put up every time you want to use it then store it again until the next weeknd or whenever you intend to use it again, this seems crazy to me and defeats the object of a season pitch.

I would very much apreciate some help on this subject.

Many Thanks in advance,

Ian

Hello Ian

I kept a series of caravans on a seasonal pitch until last season and my insurers, the C&CC, had no objection provided that the site where I kept it had a defined perimiter (fence or hedge and river in my case) and I took normal security precautions.I believe that the position is similar with the CC.

We had a seasonal pitch which accommodated a very large Hobby caravan. We had no problems insuring it with NFU and they were reasonably priced too.
