security handle

I have just got my caravan but it has a security handle on the outside of the door but no keys for it.

The name stamped on it is HAMMER and it looks like it is bolted right through the side wall.

This handle can be used to help one up in to the van as well, it swings round and locked the door.

Now what i am afraid of is if it closes on the door and locks and I have no key.

1. can I get a new key.

2. or can I just take it off.

3. How?

It might be better if those who share the same name add the first letter of their surname as a way of distinguishing one from the other.

I fitted the Fiamma Security 46 Pro Security Handle to our van & would not be without it as it fastens to the bottom half of the door for extra security

Found it for fitting but would like to remove it.

The good news is I have sent an email to them for help.

Any tip for removing it would be helpfull to me.

If you look directly were the handle is fitted to the van..

Inside the van will be two plastic caps which are pressed over the bolt heads

( just for cosmetic purpose )

Just remove them & the bolts & you can take the Handel off

But you will be left with holes in the side of your van from were the bolts passed thro

I would personally try & get a new lock

I have found the inside covers, thanks.

Now how do I fill them holes.
