Hi Trevor
Have a look at Screwfix on line, they do one that i have used in the past and is very good.
Item number 34974 price £69.95
When fixing to ground use snap off bolts so that it cant be unbolted.

Hi Trevor
I purchased a post that went into the ground about 6 inches and concreted in. Part of it stuck up a few inches and the main post slipped into it, then a pad lock was put through 2 brackets. this was good as on top of the post was a ball that you puth your tow hitch on. This meens that i had to set the height spot on , so far so good. Where my van is when i take it out i have to pull it out to the left. Its 2 days before Xmas and we are going away, i take out the post and hitch up, left lock on the car and slowly forward, then a sudden jolt and then going nowhere. The chasis on the van was lower that the post in the ground and now the van was jammed on top of the post. managed to reverse of the post then out came the grinder, guess what no more post. Moral here is check where the post will fit and how you take your van out.

Our local council put in two security posts near us to stop local riff raff using some ground as a dump. The first gate installed was ripped off, a contractor was then employed to but in a concrete slab with steel mesh and then a few day later they came and fitted the posts and a new gate. Within two hours of them leaving two 4x4 pick-ups had pulled the posts over and the I beam mounted gate was also ripped off and taken. If there is a run off where a 4X4 can get a line to the post I wouldn't bother with one of the cheaper ones.
Our caravan is locked to a Bulldog posts with another removable post in front of the hitch and the two posts then have a locking connecting bar between them. At least one caravan a year has gone from our locale in the past ten years, and we know that two had trackers.
