We are seriously thinking about selling our caravan due to financial reasons. Its only 6 months old but we don't know where the best place would be to sell it. I've been in contact with the dealer but he doesn't seem very interested as things are very quiet for him too.

Do caravans sell on eBay, or local papers. What have been other people's experiences of doing this?

Anyone's advice would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Yes sure Caravans sell on eBay, local papers and Auto trader etc. Thing to remember, like selling a car the higher the price the less people are around looking to purchase and being only 6 months old unless it's a real bargain people may be tempted to pay a little bit more and get brand new a 2009 model. Other thing to consider with winter approaching people will be looking for an end of season bargain and with this so called "credit crunch" will expect even more money off. All I can say is Good luck.

Hi Gumbo,

We bought it from Greenbank in Fraserburgh, they seem to be very reluctant to return phone calls etc!

We bought our last van from Dyce and i wish we still had it!
